Doctor Disney knows that there are probably some Disney Marathon runners around here, and they will be glad to know what is in store for them this year. The reveal of the 20th Anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon Medal has now happened and it’s awesome.

The medal will be awarded at the Walt Disney World Marathon that will be happening January 10-13, 2013.
While the medal may look traditional, it has some great little Disney additions.
There are two spinning parts to the medal including a medallion with an image of classic Mickey Mouse on one side and an image of modern Mickey Mouse on the other.
One other great thing is two engraved quotes from Walt Disney. The one side that can be seen so far says:
“I only hope that we don’t lose sigh of one thing…it was all started by a mouse.”
In order to get one of these medals, head over to runDisney.com to sign up for the marathon. Then when it comes time, run the 26.2 miles and one of these can be yours.
