A number of attractions already have it, but next in line to get an interactive queue is going to be Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in the Magic Kingdom.
Haunted Mansion, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant already have them, and the Disney Parks Blog states that BTM is next to have it coming. With a major refurbishment opening the queue area earlier this year, it really just makes sense to give some interactivity to the guests waiting in line.
“Our friends at Walt Disney Imagineering just shared with us that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland is next in line for such an addition. When it opens, guests will be able to participate in the story of the Big Thunder Mining Company like never before. It’s guaranteed to be a blast!”
With DPG saying that Thunder Mountain will be next, one has to wonder what exactly is happening over in Pirates of the Caribbean then. A lot of work has been going on in the queue and people have been saying that it would get an interactive queue for good once it closes in October for a one-day refurbishment.
Guess we’ll see.
