There is talk that the overly secretive version of Soarin’ at Shanghai Disneyland in 2015 is going to be a global version actually called “Soarin’ Over the Horizon.” This will take guests on the same kind of ride that they experience at Epcot and Disney California Adventure, but on a worldwide scale.
With that being said, there is talk that both of the versions in the United States could undergo a change to update them to the same versions.
That is just a rumor, but some believe that it could happen and then…there’s more. Rumors are being said that the new “Planes” movie could be tied into “Soarin’ Over the Horizon,” but it would be kept mostly to a pre-show inclusion.
Hopefully, they’ll not only leave “Planes” out of it, but they’ll sort of keep each version a bit different. The one change that would be nice, is if the version in Epcot was given a Walt Disney World ending. That way, DCA’s version could be unique to California as well.
