With the 2014 Disney vacation package bookings starting on July 10, 2013…a lot of travel agents and others are being told some information about the mini-fridges that are available in your resort rooms.
It appears as a large number of rooms are going to have their mini-refrigerators removed or temporarily disconnected due to a defect of some sort.
If you arrive in your Disney resort room and the fridge is still in there, that does not mean it is working or hooked up. A letter will be left in the room of the guest advising them of the situation.
Those guests that have priority needs for a refrigerator – such as medical reasons – will be accommodated by Disney in any way possible and first.
Disney is already working on fixing the issue with the mini-fridges or replacing them entirely. It has already been noted that this process could take several months, so prepare yourselves for possibly being without a fridge if you’ve got an upcoming trip.
