Huge news on Free Disney Dining extension and Disney Visa Card offers

Ok, so today is officially the last day to book a Disney vacation package for dates in September and add a free Disney Dining Plan to it. Everyone has been wondering if the offer was going to be extended through the rest of the year and the rumors have been flying…well, I’ve got some good news.

I’ve got it from some good sources that the FREE Disney Dining Plan will be extended through the rest of the year on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013. Not a lot of details are known as of this time, but there is a 99.99% chance that it will be available starting tomorrow morning.

Here is the thing…the dates that have been floating around may not very well be accurate. A number of sites and forums and groups have reported certain dates, and a source of mine tells me those dates could very well be totally inaccurate. So while an extended FREE Disney Dining Plan offer is coming on Thursday, the dates are unknown at this time.

NOTE: If you are seeing this advertised by any sites or Disney travel planner sites as being “official,” they are wrong. It is NOT official until Disney releases it and that has not happened yet.

Now, there is another issue at hand here and it is the Disney Visa Cardholders offers.

Many were thinking that this past Monday would see the Disney Visa Cardholders have the FREE Disney Dining Plan offer extended to them and then opened to the general public a few days later. That is how it’s been normally anyway.

Well, word has it that is now a thing of the past.

Yep, Disney Visa Cardholders will not be getting offers first anymore. That’s right, it looks like the FREE Disney Dining Plan – when and if it comes around each year – will be open to everyone at the same time.

So, while these two big things have not been confirmed publicly by Disney just yet, I’d be on the lookout Thursday morning for the extended FREE DDP.

I’ll give the info out as soon as Disney makes it official so be prepared!
