The newest Disney Limited Time Magic was announced on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, and it is all about “The American Idol Experience Juniors Edition.” It’s going to begin on Aug. 12 and run through Aug. 18, 2013, and it will allow guests ages 6 to 13 to compete with songs they know.
For one week only, Limited Time Magic will be transforming pop star fantasies into real-life dreams come true for a few lucky Guests, ages 6 to 13.
Just like the television show, it all begins with an a capella performance of a popular song. And with the right kind of energetic impression, they’ll set off for the next exciting round. So start those vocal warm-ups and help get that voice ready to shine—the opening audition is just the beginning!
Perform Like the Pros
Not every young Guest will manage to land a spot in the second round… but those that do will have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to show off their skills, set to the tune of a queue of popular songs.

From Disney favorites like “Colors of the Wind” and “Part of Your World” to longtime classics like “I Want You Back” and “Life Is a Highway,” there are more than a dozen fun choices to pick from and perform.
A few of the songs will be difficult for some, but regardless of any child’s vocal range or level of experience, everyone will be considered and no talents will go unseen.
Show the Judges a Star
After a quick karaoke-style audition backstage, 3 contestants will be chosen to compete in front of a live crowd. And much like the television show, their performance will be taken to task by “judges” from the entertainment industry too.
No matter what song gets picked or how it’s performed, this is every child’s big chance to show the world what they’re made of, in front of a jam-packed studio audience filled with excited fans!
