Housekeeper at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort accused of stealing from guests

Disney All Star MusicNot the best news in the “world” as CFNEWS13 reports that a Walt Disney World Resort housekeeper has been accused of stealing money from the rooms of guests.

29-year-old Bruna Francois has been arrested and charged with petty theft.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrest report states that Francois stole money while cleaning guest rooms at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort.

Numerous guests had been reporting that money had been missing from their rooms. With this knowledge, Osceola County investigators worked with Disney to set up a surveillance camera sting in a room that Francois was to clean.

Investigators had placed a large sum of money into a locked safe in the room. They then gathered the footage and saw Francois steal some of the money from the safe and place it on her person.

Remember, some of the Value Resorts don’t have the keypad/electronic safes and still use the lock and key. Disney may end up looking into changing those soon due to these happenings.

  1. It’s not just value resorts that use keys for the safes. I’ve been staying at Boardwalk Villas since 2004, last trip was April 2013. Safes their all use keys. What I’d like to know is how this woman got the key to the safe–are they all keyed alike? Did she have some sort of master key?

  2. Yikes, I hate when I don’t proofread before I hit send. Third sentence should say “Safes THERE all use keys”. (And btw just to clarify for those who many not know, Boardwalk is considered a deluxe resort).
