Any word on roll out after 11/1? I know 3 separate groups staying at a test resort checking in 11/1/13 and no Magic Bands 🙁
This is the furthest and latest info revealed. I personally do know that the testing was expanded so that a few issues could be tweaked and worked out, but there is no word as to how many will get the MagicBands at these resorts or how things will go after Oct. 31, 2013.
Man this sucks I miss it by one day at all star music . I check 10/10 and check out 10/13
If we book one room for one night and our MDE is linked to our AP, does this mean we can also be included in the testing for our entire trip? We are actually staying at the Swan and Dolphin but would love to be included in the testing and really get a feel for the new system.
If you get it for one, you’d get it for all. But if you have a split trip at different resorts where MagicBands are fully live at one and not at the other, than you most likely would not get it for the entirety of your trip. Again, this is not confirmed so always check with Disney before you travel.
Disney’s customer service was ATROCIOUS this week at Wilderness Lodge. We checked in 3 days before the test started and they would not let us participate in the test. Since most of the resorts are participating in the test, nearly all of the fastpasses were gone by the time we showed up at the parks. LOUSY customer service. This test cost us many hours of waiting in lines the past week in the parks.
Disgruntled Disney “customer”
I hate that your trip wasn’t good, but that’s just how things have been with the new MagicBands coming into play. I mean, I was in a resort about a month ago and it was a few days before the testing started there and I wasn’t allowed to participate in it either. Not that I expected to though because it wasn’t yet time for that resort to participate.
Was there more that happened to bring about your complaint of “lousy” customer service? Because I’m not sure how it is bad customer service if FASTPasses were gone and you had to wait in lines.
Just curious.
