There is already another lengthy refurbishment coming in the new year and this one will be happening over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Studio Backlot Tour will be closing on Jan. 5, 2014, and close through March 1, 2014. It is tentatively scheduled to reopen to guests on March 2, 2014.
There is no word on what exactly is being done to the attraction, but there may be some changes and not just touch-ups and tune-ups happening.
A number of things are closing at the beginning of January for refurbishment as that is typically seen as the “slow time” for Walt Disney World. It is often when they do most of their work.
Remember, these dates are tentative and are scheduled to change at any time. We’ve already seen a number of refurbishments extended or shortened depending on how work is going or if more changes need to be made.
