In a very unexpected, and quiet, move, Tortuga Tavern at the Magic Kingdom is changing things up.
Usually the quick service restaurant is open from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and that isn’t even always the case.
On Sunday, Dec. 21, 2013, Tortuga Tavern will serve quick service from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and then an Island Dinner Buffet from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
This is going to be a limited time event though as it appears to be in a testing phase and will only continue through Jan. 4, 2014.
The Island Dinner Buffet will be $35.99 for adults and $17.99 for children not including tax and an 18% gratuity will be added to your bill, no matter the size of your party. Seating will be provided indoors and outdoors.
From Dec. 22, 2013, – Jan. 4, 2014, it will be open for dinner only from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
This is according to the Disney website and could change at any time.
The Island Dinner Buffet menu for Tortuga Tavern will include (subject to change):
- Ocean harvest chowder with crackers
- Lush garden greens with lite vinaigrette, Black Pearl balsamic dressing and ranch
- Gulf grilled vegetable pasta salad
- Shipwrecked tomato, mozzarella and basil salad
- Sea salted green beans
- Caribbean spiced sweet potato wedges
- Treasures of mac and cheese
- Rosemary-garlic pork steamship
- Cannonball meatballs with marinara and parmesan
- Banana leaf baked mahi with Gold Coast mango chutney
- Barbosa’s braised beef with julienne carrots, celery and pearl onions
- Captain Jack’s chicken breast with lemon and parsley
- Assorted rolls with butter
- Rice crispy bon bons
- Mickey brownies
- Assorted éclairs
- No sugar added lemon cookies
- Assorted cup cakes
- Fresh fruit salad
