With the exciting announcement of a fifth weekend being added to Star Wars Weekends for 2014, there is also some sad news to reveal on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014.
Confirmation has come that the very-popular dance-off that would end the weekends will now be gone for good.
Hyperspace Hoopla is no more.
Instead, Disney will be doing something new for Star Wars Weekends this year as there will be nightly performances of fireworks called “Symphony in the Stars.” The fireworks will be set to epic “Star Wars” music and similar to what happened on “May the 4th” last year.
There will also be a “nightly curtain call moment” for those in attendance and it will feature a host of “Star Wars” characters and personalities.
Those that knew Hyperspace Hoopla, truly loved Hyperspace Hoopla. It began small and grew huge as the Rebels faced off against the Empire in a dance battle to end all dance battles.
Even though it is now gone…the Hyperspace Hoopla will always be remembered…and it will always be “Super Doopla.”
