Captain Cook’s Quick-Service at the Polynesian has refurb pushed back

Captain CooksThe major refurbishment of Disney’s Polynesian Resort has hit a small snag and will force the closure of Captain Cook’s quick service restaurant to be pushed back a little.

Captain Cook’s was originally set to close on March 28, 2014, but now it’s going to close a little over a week later. The new closure date for Captain Cook’s is now set for April 9, 2014.

This closure and refurbishment is all part of the bigger picture for the Polynesian as it undergoes a change for DVC Villas.

Captain Cook’s is going to be extended and made much bigger as it takes over the real estate where the Wyland Gallery once stood.

No exact opening date has yet been set for Captain Cook’s, but it is expected to reopen during the summer of this year.

For the time being, a temporary quick service location will be made available inside of the Great Ceremonial House at the Polynesian.
