The official theme park attendance numbers for the year of 2013 have been released by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and AECOM as of June 3, 2014. With that being said, the Magic Kingdom has ruled all once again and sits atop the leader board.
Please let it be known that Disney does not, and has not released any official information regarding attendance figures for their parks. The numbers represented in the 2013 Theme Index: Global Attractions Attendance Report are published estimates based off of research.
Magic Kingdom has topped the list as the world’s most visited theme park as it brought in over an estimated 18.5 million guests in 2013. That’s a rise of about 6% from the Magic Kingdom attendance figures for 2012.
Epcot’s estimated attendance for 2013 was over 11.2 million guests, and that is a rise of 1.5 % from 2012.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios estimate attendance was up 2% to just over 10.1 million guests.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom was also up 2% in estimated attendance with around 10.2 million guests in 2012.
Both Disney World water parks saw 2% increases in attendance from 2012 to 2013 as well. Typhoon Lagoon brought in an estimated 2.1 million guests while Blizzard Beach had just under 2.0 million in 2012.
Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Paris both saw drops of 6.9% each from 2012 to 2013. Disneyland did see an increase of 1.5%.
Among Disney Parks, Tokyo Disneyland was right behind Magic Kingdom with an estimated 17.2 million guests in 2013, and that was an increase of 15.9% from 2012.
