Step-by-Step Instructions for Getting A FASTPass+ Reservation at Be Our Guest

Be Our Guest FASTPass+There has been a lot of stuff going on with the MagicBands, MyMagic+, and the whole FASTPass+ deal lately, and a number of questions have been filling my mailbox. Many of those questions have to do with Be Our Guest Restaurant and how guests can get a FASTPass+ lunch reservation for  it. Well, say hello to your friendly Disney TA who is going to advise you just how to do such a thing.

Now, please be aware that things are liable to change at any time. This is simply the format for how things are as of Sunday, June 8, 2014.

Originally, guests were getting email invitations for making a FASTPass+ reservation at Be Our Guest. I’ve actually been able to do them for some friends of mine without them ever having gotten an email.

Here is the thing though, you must be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort in order to get a lunch FASTPass+ for Be Our Guests. At this time, daily guests and even just Annual Passholders cannot get one. You need a Disney Resort reservation number to get it.

1.) Head over to the Be Our Guest FASTPass+ reservation site to get things started.

2.) Log-in by using your username and password for your My Disney Experience account.

3.) Upon logging in, it will ask you for your Reservation ID (Disney Resort reservation number), First Name, and Last Name.

UPDATE: At this time, and for some odd reason, the system will not take reservation numbers that include letters. If this is your situation, please contact 407-WDW-DINE for help.

4.) You can then select your date for lunch and arrival time window (between 10:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.) for Be Our Guest. This is where you will also enter the number of guests in your party, and that number cannot be added to upon arrival.

Guests will have a 30-minute arrival window. Not all dates are available yet so don’t try making them for 180 days out, but that could change at any time so always try.

5.) At this point, you will be able to place your order for your lunch at Be Our Guest. If you aren’t yet sure of what you want, you can skip this or modify it later.

“FASTPass+ Direct To Table” will give you the option of pre-ordering your food and heading right to your table after checking in at Be Our Guest.

“FASTPass+ Expedited Arrival” means not pre-ordering your food, but then bypassing the standby line upon arrival at Be Our Guest.

That’s it. Honestly, it is that simple. From there though, you have to know what you’re doing once you arrive at Be Our Guest Restaurant.

1.) Arrive at Be Our Guest for your designated FASTPass+ reservation time and have your MagicBand scanned. If you’ve ordered already, you can pay with your MagicBand or credit card and head to the table of your choice anywhere inside or if directed by a Cast Member, follow them.

NOTE: If you need to make changes to your order, advise the CMs upon time of check-in.  This could delay your time waiting for your food, but make sure to let them know as soon as you arrive.

If you haven’t ordered, you will be directed to the parlor so that you can pick what you’d like to eat.

2.) Your food will be brought to your table by Cast Members once it is ready. You will be given a Magic Rose at the entrance or your MagicBands will serve as a guide for the CMs.

Once again, that’s it. FASTPass+ service for Be Our Guest isn’t difficult. It’s a great thing to have, especially during the summer months.

With a FASTPass+ reservation for Be Our Guest, you won’t have to wait out in the heat or in a long standby line.

Comments

  1. I have tried this but when I attempt to put in my reservation number it won’t allow the letters to be typed. Numbers only. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    • As of now, it seems to only work with NUMBER-ONLY reservation numbers. In this situation, contact Disney via 407-WDW-DINE and advise them of your situation.

      • Doctor Disney is correct. Not sure why the reservation numbers with letters aren’t working, but it’s been that way since i\t started a couple of months ago.

        • I just called Disney Dining and they connected me to the My Disney Experience help desk. They gave me my numerical reservation, but they said that you can’t make the reservation until 60 days out. Our arrival date is not until mid-October, so we can’t book until August. Just another thing to add to the list. 🙂 Thanks for posting this.

          • Thanks to all of you! We are traveling at the end of September so we will attempt this in July! You are all appreciated!

          • Jill Whitman says

I got the email invitation to the BOG fastpass+ lunch so I went to the website….signed in….but the date we need (Nov. 5) never comes up. It stops at Nov. 3. I called but that didn’t help. I was just given the website info that I already had and she told me she doesn’t do fp lunch res. over the phone. How do I get the res. if the website doesn’t have my date on it?

          • That’s a glitch it sounds like, and I’m not sure. I know people that made reservations the other day for Nov. 7 and Nov. 19. Dining can’t help you. Check the Disney website for the tech support line. And if they aren’t right, ask them to connect you to proper channel.

  2. What does this statement mean? I don’t know which one to choose. “Enhance your experience by ordering ahead by selecting “FastPass+ Direct to Table” or simply choose “FastPass+ Expedited Arrival. “”

    • Ray, “Direct to Table” means you will go through with the process of ordering your food now or before you arrive. “Expedited Arrival” means going past the standby line, going in, and then ordering.

  3. Paul Saint says

Doctor Disney, what if you’re an Annual Passholder and live in the Orlando area and not staying on property? I was thinking of trying Be Our Guest for my birthday in mid-July.

    • I’ve looked into this as much as I can since Disney TA wrote it, and as of right now…it is NOT available to APs as she explained in the article.

Disney has said that it will become available to all guests in the future, but there is no set date at this time.

  4. a bulliner says

I have been trying and trying for months (we’re going in the middle of July) and it just keeps telling me there are no fastpasses available. I wouldn’t wait until 60 days out for those of you going in the future or they will be all booked.

    • This is what I’m afraid of. The person at the My Disney Experience help desk emphasized the 60 days out for this. I still input all my info on reservation site and I was able to get to my days in October, but they showed the same ‘not available’ message for all the days that we’re there. I would’ve felt better if the message said you’re not 60 days out, try again in August.

We waited in line twice when we went last October and we lined up early, so we didn’t have to wait in a terrible line. But, I was looking forward to not having to wait in line as long this time. :-\

  5. wahoo! Thank you! I’ve been “panicking” (of course there are more important things in the world. :-P) as I am 20 days out and still no email! When I called the cast member they said i would get an email at check in EEK! I’m planning out everything 60 or more days in advance and I can’t get my hands on this till the day of my trip?!? PANIC! LOL!!! THANK YOU!! Called and got my number!!!

  6. The Be Our Guest FastPass Quick Service opens up 27 days in advance of the day you want to go to MK that day (not 27 days in advance of when your trip starts). Worked for me and I booked it. I am going 10/25 to 11/1 and going to MK on 10/27. I booked my Be Our Guest quick service Fastpass today.
    Hope this helps!
