The press event for the new Ratatouille Land (not official name) and area at Disneyland Paris happened just the other day, and it looks quite incredible. The attraction looks simply amazing and the restaurant even more stunning. All of it is quite fitting for the park and I look forward to seeing it one day.
DLP was over at the press event and caught some great pictures, brought forth some awesome information, and even got video of the Ratatouille attraction.
Make sure to check out the bottom of the article for videos and more pics.
Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy will officially debut at the Walt Disney Studios Paris at Disneyland Paris on July 10, 2014.
The Bistrot Chez Remy Restaurant and mini-land area will open at the same time for guests.
The mini-land area for Ratatouille is incredibly beautiful with great details from the film thrown in. Not only is the restaurant and attraction perfectly themed, but the surrounding walkways and buildings are done to perfection.
Sitting in a new corner of Toon Studio, the Ratatouille-area, you may think it is small, but you’ll spend a lot of time there.
In the attraction, guests will be “shrunken” down to the size of Remy and Emile as they head through the kitchens, dining room, and walls of Gusteau’s famous restaurant. The vehicles are trackless and shaped like giant rats for the awesome journey.
Let’s not forget the 3D imagery that comes to life in front of you while you ride. DLP has a lot more pics, but a full report on the attraction and restaurant first-hand. Here is just some of what they had to say:
Compared to Transformers, Ratatouille is better!. The story of Transformers is simply a battle to save the planet, while with Ratatouille we relive the film by being not only actor, but also becoming the size of a rat, with differents traps and adventures.
During the ride, you feel air currents which increase the sensation of speed. Screens are encompassing, makes it all very immersive, unlike the Transformers screens which all takes place in front of you, due to the high walls on each side of the vehicle. For these reasons Ratatouille is, for me, a more successful experience, though each of these attractions are among the best in the world.
The movement of Ratatouille’s ride vehicles are more soft and fluid than Transformers, making Ratatouille a true family ride for all. It’s a dark ride, 3D, and sensory ride in one.
Check out the videos below from the Ratatouille attraction, restaurant, land overview, and grand opening with Tom Staggs and Bob Iger.
