The Walt Disney World Railroad is going to need a little work done to keep the steam train running smoothly, and that means a refurbishment is in order. It’s going to be a lengthy one too, so you’d better be prepared and know now.
Just about everyone that visits the Magic Kingdom, loves to take a ride around on the Walt Disney World Railroad, but those going this fall will have to wait until next time.
The refurbishment begins with the closing of the Walt Disney World Railroad on Sept. 28, 2014, and it is scheduled to go through Nov. 8, 2014.
As of now, it is tentatively scheduled to reopen to guests on Nov. 9, 2014, but please remember that dates are subject to change.
Some guests had booked the Disney’s Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour which will have to be canceled during this time. Those guests have received emails stating “unforeseen track maintenance” is the reason for the closure along with alternative options.
The tours lasts for three hours and takes guests on a behind-the-scenes look at the Walt Disney World Railroad.
