Another Possible Change Coming To Disney FASTPass+ Time Window

Disney FASTPass+Disney is ever upgrading and adding new features to the MyMagic+ system that is controlled by guests with their My Disney Experience. With that, there are going to be changes so that it works in the bets possible way for guests. It appears now as if one change may be coming to the FASTPass+ system.

As we all know by now, there are different windows for guests to book their FASTPass+ reservations.

Walt Disney World Resort guests could book them beginning at 60 days out from their arrival date. Daily guests and Annual Passholders could book 30 days out.

While that has not changed, one thing that could possibly be changing is the time at which you’re allowed to book your FASTPass+ reservations once your window opens.

Word going around is that Disney will soon change the start time from 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to 6:00 a.m. on your 60-day mark. This would, in turn, match the time that guests are eligible to make their dining reservations at 180 days out.

As the system currently stands, guests are able to go in at midnight (12:01 a.m.-ish) and make their FASTPass+ reservations.

Should this change actually come into existence, it would mean that guests could be online at 6:00 a.m. on their 60 or 30 day mark to officially start making their FASTPass+ selections.

Disney has not confirmed this change and has not announced it whatsoever. It is not guaranteed that it will happen, no matter what some may say. It won’t be confirmed until officially announced by Disney.

This also means that there has been no set time frame for when this could possibly happen so as of now, just keep trying to get your FASTPass+ reservations at midnight on the first day of your window…if you so choose to do so.

  1. Back in mid June I tried from Midnight to 1AM EDT on my 60-day mark and could not get make any reservations. When I got up at 6AM it worked.

    • They may very well be testing it already. My wife is a Disney Travel Planner and she stays up until midnight at the 60-day mark for her clients, and has yet to run into that issue. We will see soon, though.

  2. Good lord… it’s hard enough getting up before 5 am (we’re in the central time zone) to make dining….

but then again… for fast passes I suppose it would be 11:00 pm the day before if you’re CST? Could that be right ?
