There is so much about Walt Disney World that is good that leaving our “home” just seems like something totally out of the question. In my previous article, I discussed “10 Disney Things We Wish Would Happen in the Real World,” because of course we can’t get enough Disney in our everyday lives!
Or can we?
The vacation is over and the memories are amazing, but there are always a few things we wouldn’t mind leaving in our take-off pixie dust that have us saying, “You can keep it, Disney!”
1. Anna and Elsa – You can hide the CD in the trunk, bury the singing dolls under a week’s worth of laundry and padlock the girls’ suitcases closed, but you will still be forced to hear “Let It Go” another 829 times during the grueling 12 hour car ride home. If the kids didn’t know all the words before, they do now, thanks to the Frozen Sing-Along at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
2. Crazy seagulls – Your pizza is not safe at Pinocchio’s Village Haus.
3. Beverly – This beverage, found at Epcot’s Club Cool, rubs many people’s taste buds the wrong way. Riding Mission: Space (the Orange side) three times in a row would still beat having to drink this Italian soda ever again. What if the Coca Cola Company replaced all of its Coke products with Beverly spinoffs and never told us? What a cruel trick that would be! Leaving Beverly behind would hurt no-one.
4. Stitch’s burrito burp – This pungent aroma is just one of the many lingering memories of 626’s horrendous escape, and one of the least offensive things about this attraction.
5. The movie after Maelstrom – It may be a good film. But no one actually knows, because I’m pretty sure no one’s ever stayed to watch it.
Doctor Editor’s Note: I have seen it…maybe…but I miss the old movie in The Living Seas that “rained…and rained…and rained…!”
6. That awkward face you made on Spaceship Earth – Before you decide to make the worst face imaginable for your cartoon future self, there’s the possibility that your face may appear on that huge map in the Siemens post-show exhibit for everyone to see and make fun of for a good minute.
7. Strollers – There are just so many things to see at Walt Disney World, and so many ankles to hit! For some reason, getting run over by a stroller at Disney is worse than anywhere else.
8. Pictures of Mickey in mid-blink – Sometimes his eyes are only half open. And then he just looks like he’s up to no good.
9. Ponchos – While they are a necessity at the parks, the warm, sticky, uncomfortable plastic sheet on your body does not make a great souvenir.
10. Ourselves – We all wish we could stay at Walt Disney World for the rest of our lives and never leave. Local Cast Members, as well as a few lucky individuals who live within arms reach with Annual Passes, such as Doctor Disney himself, are the most fortunate in this regard. As for the rest of us, we’d like to leave ourselves behind on our next trip and join you!
What are some Disney quirks that you can’t wait to leave behind?

I do wish that Beverly was somewhere else because it’s so awesomely bad. I like the Norway film; it’s another reminder of ’80s EPCOT! Of course, it may not be here much longer…
