Disney Parks Christmas Parade Taping At Walt Disney World Dates Are In November This Year

disney parks christmas paradeThere appears to be a major shake-up in the dates for the Disney Parks Christmas Parade taping this year. The dates for Walt Disney World’s portion of the taping are not happening around the first weekend in December as usual, but they’ve been moved up to November.

The taping dates for the Christmas Day Parade will be Nov. 10-13, 2015 in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

Last year’s Frozen theme is gone and this year it will be called “Disney Parks Unforgettable Christmas Celebration. The parade will air on ABC on Christmas Day as normal every year.

Special event tickets will not be sold or made available to Guests, but if you’re in the park during the days of parade filming, you can watch and enjoy.

Overnight, it appears info has come in full force to everyone. Reader Tammy W.D. said that the rumor started going around about a week ago, and a Cast Member confirmed it this morning. A source of mine confirmed it and WDWMagic is reporting it as well so word seems to have gotten around.

Looks like Walt Disney World and Disneyland are flip-flopping this year so Disneyland will be taping its portion of the Christmas Day Parade Dec. 11-13, 2015.

UPDATE: Cast Members and film crew for the parade in Walt Disney World this week have said that the dates for the Disneyland portion of filming are wrong. They have stated that filming in Disneyland isn’t happening at all this year. Still waiting for full confirmation.

  1. Castle Bond says

WHO CARES? This article is pointless. It could be in September. SO?

  2. Tacky comment responded to with class. I don’t think this article is pointless – we were looking to go in November. We were at the taping last year and I’d rather skip it this year. Thanks for the heads up Danny!

  3. I have a random question, I will be in Disney World that week and will be attending the XMas party the night of the 10th, which allows us to get into MK at 4PM. Will this filming be finished for the day? Will it still be going on with main street and the front of the castle all roped off and bottled up? Any feedback for the timing on the filming days would be helpful.

    Thanks!

    • Timing is quite random. It usually starts early everyday without fail, but I’ve seen it run until 2pm or 3pm or even 4pm. Really just depends on how much they get done, but it will NOT be shooting during the Christmas Party.

  4. Perfect response back to an internet troll. Kick them back under their rudeness bridge with kindness.

    • Well, have to appreciate those that read “pointless” articles. I mean…obviously someone cared enough to read and take the time to post a comment. Always appreciated.
