We all knew it was coming. It’s just a shame that something hadn’t happened before the release of the second movie…or even much earlier. Either way, clear a path and open a huge gate as Jurassic World is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood.
Jurassic Park – The Ride will be closing its giant gate after 22 years and getting a new theme this fall. It was confirmed by Universal on Thursday that the attraction will close up on Sept. 3, 2018, and undergo an updated change to become the Jurassic World Ride.
There were very few details revealed regarding the new ride, but Universal Studios Hollywood did say there will be never-bef0re-seen dinosaurs, enhanced storytelling and scenery, and some new technology as well.
It’s not exactly known when Jurassic World Ride will open, but Universal Studios Hollywood said it will break free sometime in 2019.
There was also no word on if the Jurassic Park – The Ride at Universal Orlando will be changed to a Jurassic World theme as well.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the fifth film in the franchise, is set to be released in theaters on June 22, 2018. A sixth film is expected to be released sometime in 2021.
