Production Has Now Started On Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ Starring Emily Blunt, Dwayne Johnson

Disney is currently working on one of their next big sure-to-be hit films and while there has been a lot of news regarding it, now, Jungle Cruise has officially started production. Emily Blunt and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson released a short video to try and get the fans all excited for it too.

Announced last year, Dwayne Johnson has already done a lot of research for the popular attraction which takes guests on a wild boat ride in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Back in January, he was joined in the cast by Emily Blunt who is becoming quite the Disney star as she is the lead role in Mary Poppins Returns set to come out later this year.

A lot is known about the ride itself as guests head out on a wild boat ride through the rivers of the world. While it is quite the short attraction and not exactly movie length, Disney was able to get five films out of Pirates of the Caribbean.

In the short video released, Blunt and Johnson show some of their time-period costumes for the movie and joke around a good bit. The main thing is that Jungle Cruise has started production and we are ever closer to Disney’s next big attraction movie.

Jungle Cruise is set to hit theaters on Oct. 11, 2019.
