Once again, Disney PhotoPass Day is returning to the Disney Parks in 2018 and it is going to take place on Aug. 19. With not much time to go until the big day, details are finally coming forth and today, we have everything you need to know in order to celebrate it at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
There will be props and Magic Shots and characters out and all sorts of fun things to do for Disney PhotoPass Day. Here are all of the locations you will need to go in order to get as many as possible.
Disney California Adventure Park
Character Experiences:
- Meet Joy and Sadness: Paradise Gardens Park across from Jumpin’ Jellyfish from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Doctor Strange or Loki heroic encounter: near the Hollywood Backlot Stage from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Additional photo opportunities (available until 7 p.m.):
- Koda Magic Shot: near the sawmill in Grizzly Peak
- Huey, Dewey and Louie Magic Shot: near the entrance to the Hyperion Theater
- Russell’s grape soda bottlecap pin prop: Grizzly Peak waterfall
- Piston Cup prop: entrance to Cars Land
- Clapperboard prop: “Storytellers” statue on Buena Vista Street
Disneyland Park
Character Experiences:
- Meet Marie: Toon Park in Mickey’s Toontown from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Meet Hook and Mr. Smee: near “it’s a small world” from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Additional photo opportunities (available until 7 p.m.):
- Dumbo Magic Shot: next to Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Mickey Ice Cream Bar Magic Shot: at the Town Square flagpole
- Fairy Wings Magic Shot: near Pixie Hollow
- Mickey pretzel prop: in front of Main Street Photo Supply Co.
Guests will be able to purchase their photos as they wish, but when purchasing Disney MaxPass, you will have unlimited PhotoPass downloads for that day. You really can’t beat that for just $10…and you can make FASTPass selections on your Disneyland app with it too.
