The annual refurbishment for the Walt Disney World water parks is something that guests need to keep a close eye on as it could affect their entire trip. Blizzard Beach is set to go first this year, and now, we know the dates for Typhoon Lagoon which starts in early 2019.
Typhoon Lagoon will close for its annual refurbishment beginning on Jan. 6, 2019, and that will begin on the same day that Blizzard Beach is set to reopen. The refurbishment’s final day is set to be Mar. 16, 2019.
As of now, Typhoon Lagoon is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Mar. 17, 2019.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
