If you’ve been a little frustrated with the serious issues that the My Disney Experience app and website have been bringing forth in the last few weeks…well, we may now know why. Shortly after midnight, the website underwent a massive face-lift with a lot of changes happening all around.
While there are still a lot of things to check out and play around with, the My Disney Experience website does look vastly different now. It appears as if the app hasn’t been affected as of yet, but it did undergo an upgrade recently anyway and may not end up changing.
Upon logging in, your main page for MDE is going to look a bit different now. Let’s take a look at some of the things we’ve figured out so far with the new My Disney Experience.
Click on any of the images below for a bigger view.
As you can see above, the main page does look different now and has a few options available underneath the main picture.
If you check out the bottom right-hand corner of the cover photo, you will see the word “View Tutorial.” You can do that, but there isn’t anything more to it than three simple slides and nothing else at all.
Ok, dropping down a bit farther on the page and you will see the options for “Family & Friends,” “Resort Hotel,” tickets, and others. Underneath that will be your reservations which include all resort stays, dining, and FastPasses.
Instead of a full list of words, you’ll now see images and such for the dining and FastPasses. Here, you can also skip the front desk or choose your MagicBand colors and personalize them.
If you go up to the drop-down bar where it says “My Disney Experience,” this is going to look and read differently. No longer is there an option for “My Reservations and Tickets” as it has been replaced by “My Plans.”
Clicking that option will take you to your main page and the other options are self-explanatory as well.
If you keep scrolling down, you’ll notice a new addition of the Walt Disney World park hours. This is quite handy and keeps you from having to click over to your “My Itinerary” page which was a bit cumbersome.
As you can see, it will have the pics and info for your dining reservations and FastPasses while also being able to update guests/times or cancel reservations if needed.
One of the most glaring new changes to the My Disney Experience website is the drop-down menu which says “Add More Plans.” You will find this on the main page of “My Plans” on the MDE website, and it gives you a number of options.
Of course, you can go to the dining or FastPass+ or resort reservations but look underneath it. You will see options for Character Experiences, Fireworks, Parades, Shows, and Notes. This is another way that the new My Disney Experience has essentially eliminated the old “My Itinerary” page.
If you select one of those options underneath the line, it will take you to a different page with a lot of information and options to add things to your plans.

If you select the “Show In My Plans” option, it will open a pop-up box with information regarding the date and what times those shows or experiences are available. You can then select to add them to your plans and make them visible.
Upon doing so, you will see the new experience on your “My Plans” page on the MDE website. As you can see below, I selected “Happily Ever After” and it is now in my plans to remember and be informed about.
The My Disney Experience website has indeed had a lot of problems in the past few weeks, but maybe, this is their way of fixing all those and preexisting issues. As you can see, there are some great new ways for your or your travel agent (such as those at My Mickey Vacation Travel) to make your vacation even better.
There are bound to be a few more changes popping up or already there, but it’s just going to take some time and looking around to figure them out.
