After many months, Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom is about to look a little different with a bit of a flashback. Today (Friday, January 25, 2019), the Maleficent dragon float is returning to the parade route and she will have a bit of a different look.
Disney has confirmed that the Maleficent dragon will indeed take her place back in the Festival of Fantasy Parade beginning today. She will still be designed in her Steampunk fashion, but she will have new safety features to help avoid issues like the fire last May.
There was even a short preview video released to celebrate the dragon’s return, and it’s pretty awesome. Yes, she is indeed back.
