Disneyland Will Initially Require Reservations To Enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Thursday was a very fun day as Disney unveiled the opening dates for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. As we all know, the version out west is opening first and it will actually have a reservation system in place to enter the land.

Galaxy’s Edge is going to open in Disneyland on May 31, 2019, and the version in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open on August 29, 2019. Seeing as how Disneyland’s opens first, let’s take a look at some info regarding this reservation system that will initially be in place.

Guests who want to visit Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland will not only need valid theme park admission, but they will need to make a reservation to enter Galaxy’s Edge as well. This reservation will not be an additional cost, but it is subject to availability as they are going to be somewhat limited.

The reservation system will be in place May 31 through June 23, 2019.

Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier, Grand Californian) during this time will automatically receive a reservation time. There will only be one reservation time per registered guest for Galaxy’s Edge.

As of this time, there is no word on a reservation system for Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios once it opens in late August.
