Walt Disney World Guest Didn’t Have A FastPass, So She Punched A Tower Of Terror Cast Member

A 23-year-old guest from Chicago was visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios and went to use her FastPass reservation for Tower of Terror. When their FastPass didn’t work, the guest ended up punching the Cast Member in the face.

On the evening of July 13, 2019, the Chicago guest was with her party when they went to ride The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror. As the guests arrived in the pre-show area of the attraction, they attempted to use some FastPasses, but they were not valid for the attraction at that time.

The Cast Member attempted to help the group with their FastPasses, but that only angered the group more. At this point, the Cast Member used the phone at her podium to contact a supervisor and get security to assist.

Once that phone call was made, the female guest from Chicago “began pushing buttons on her (Cast Member) ride podium.” The Cast Member kept asking the woman to stop but she was bring ignored which led to her pushing the guest’s hands away from the buttons.

This led to the guest punching the Cast Member in the face and the scene only continued to get worse.

“The family continued to yell profanities and record her with their phones,” the report said.

As the Cast Member was speaking to security, the guest and her party left Tower of Terror but were soon located. The Cast Member’s eye was swelling up by the time sheriff’s officers responded to the call made by Disney.

A spokeswoman for Disney said, “We don’t tolerate unsafe behavior.” No charges were pressed against the female guest from Chicago as the Cast Member did not wish to pursue legal action.

  1. I just can’t believe they did not press charges!!! So they will no problem doing it to another cast member..😡 I can’t believe someone would do this to begin with. What a bunch of low life thugs…

  2. Kate Hacker says

The guest should be banned, totally unacceptable behavior.

  3. I would have banned them for life. I’ll have lots of arguments on this one, but if I were the cast member, I would have pressed charges.

No doubt this “guest” has a habit of solving problems with her fists. I hope they will permanently ban her from the park. No cast member should have to worry about their safety.

  5. I think I heard on TV that she banned for life. What a shame for that cast member. And yes I would have pressed charges.

  6. You can bet I would have pressed charges! The cry baby, fit throwers need to stay at home, if they can’t handle rules, disappointments and have some respect for others, ESPECIALLY at a happy place like Disney. I can’t imagine other park guests didn’t intervene, it would have been hard to stand there and watch that rude person do that. She’s an example of how NOT to behave! 😡

  7. Pushing buttons on the podium ia unacceptable. I am guessing guest were angry about “being touched”. When safety is an issue, that no touch thing is trumped.

  8. I’m she wasn’t the first person hit by this animal. Should have pressed charges to maybe prevent another WDW cast member from being abused (physically or verbally).

  9. Another source dod state she is banned for life from all Disney Parks.

  10. I would have pressed charges on that crazy lady

Had any of the Chicago guests been drinking prior to the incident? I wouldn’t be surprised, if so. This isn’t meant to give ANYONE an excuse…just wondering.
