The busy Labor Day weekend is upon us, but the theme parks in Central Florida aren’t going to see the usual huge crowds. Hurricane Dorian, with its immense strength and shifting path, has caused many to rethink their vacation plans.

Those heading to Walt Disney World, Legoland, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, or any other Central Florida location need to pay close attention to Dorian and its possible path. For those with flights heading in or out, you now need to realize that some airports are closing early on Monday, September 2, 2019.

“Daytona Beach International Airport’s terminal will close after the last flight departs Sunday night,” announced an airport press release on Friday. “When weather conditions worsen, the airfield will be open only for emergencies. There will be no flights beginning Monday until further notice.”

The same is to be said for Orlando International as Dorian draws near Florida.
