Hurricane Dorian is inching ever closer to the United States and Walt Disney World has already announced some alterations and a closure. As for Disney Cruise Line, they are having to make even more modifications and they are affecting the Disney Dream.
The current 3-night sailing on the Disney Dream left Port Canaveral on Friday, August 30, 2019. The day before it headed out to sea, Disney announced it would be changed to a 5-night sailing and the following 4-nighter would be changed to a 2-nighter.
Well, Hurricane Dorian’s slow movement and unpredictability has caused even more changes to both of those sailings.

The current sailing on the Disney Dream has been extended one more night and will now return to Port Canaveral on Thursday, September 5, 2019. Due to adding one more night to the sailing, the ship will port at Grand Cayman on September 2, 2019.
The following sailing on the Dream has now been totally cancelled, and here is the message from DCL:
Since the sailing was cancelled, Guests are eligible for a full refund of their voyage fare. Additionally, we want to offer Guests an opportunity to sail with us again and will provide them with a 20% discount on a future cruise.
Guests should contact us at 1-866-325-3905 or 407-566-7032 between Monday, September 9, 2019, and Thursday, October 31, 2019, to let us know if they would like to apply their credit to a new sail date between now and December 31, 2020, or receive a full refund. Guests who already moved to a different voyage will be able to apply the discount to their new sailing (some restrictions may apply).
