Hurricane Dorian has been a monster of a storm which stalled out for long periods of time and absolutely decimated The Bahamas. The Walt Disney Company and Disney Cruise Line are looking to do their part and have donated more than $1 million for relief and recovery efforts to those affected.
The $1 million donation from Disney Cruise Line is going to non-profit agencies and companies that will be taking on the recovery and rebuilding efforts in The Bahamas. They will bring forth supplies, food, construction materials, and more to those in the affected areas.
“The Walt Disney Company stands with the people of The Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian,” said Robert A. Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “We hope our $1 million donation will provide much-needed relief and help our neighbors, colleagues, and all those impacted by this devastating storm begin the long process of recovery as they work to put their lives and communities back together.”
