There may be some irony in it, but Blizzard Beach is not prepared to deal with the cold. For three days this week, the Walt Disney World water park is going to remain closed due to the chilly weather in the Central Florida area.
Temperatures are going to remain lower than usual on Monday, January 20, through Wednesday, January 22, 2020. There will be lows in the low 40’s to high 30’s with wind chills dipping into the teens.
With those temperatures, Disney is just going to keep Blizzard Beach closed for the sake of guests and Cast Members.
As of this time, the park is expected to resume normal operation on Thursday, January 23, 2020. Typhoon Lagoon is currently closed during its annual refurbishment.
