It may be really difficult to remain calm with news like this. Hocus Pocus 2 is moving ahead with a new director in Adam Shankman as he has now confirmed that magic is going to be swirling on Disney Plus.
It has been confirmed by Shankman that he will be directing Hocus Pocus 2 for Disney Plus. It will be a sequel to the 1993 cult classic that stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy.
Shankman is already working the pre-production phase of things for Disenchanted which is a sequel to Enchanted. That movie is going to be first in line, though, and it is the one currently being worked on.
The director took to Instagram to post a very exciting image that shows both of the amazing sequels he is working on.

Now, the original cast members of Hocus Pocus have not yet signed on for the sequel, but Disney is hopeful that they will take part in some fashion. Midler, Parker, and Najimy have said for years that they’d love to return to their iconic roles, but nothing has ever materialized from it all.
Hopefully, we will hear more soon on the plot or anything else regarding both of these sequels.
