Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, Disney Springs, Downtown Disney, And Disney Stores All Closing This Week Due To Coronavirus Threat

The closures of the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are getting some company. Due to the threat of the coronavirus, this week will see the closures of the WDW Resort hotels, Disney Stores, Disney Springs, Downtown Disney, and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.

Disneyland Resort already said that their hotels would be closing on Monday, March 16, 2020, to give guests time to make accommodations. Now, Walt Disney World Resort hotels are doing the same and will be closing as of 5 P.M. on Friday, March 20, 2020.

At that same time, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will also be closing.

Additionally, Disney will be closing all of their owned and operated locations at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and Downtown Disney at Disneyland beginning on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Third-party tenants in the shopping districts will make their own decisions on staying open, closing, or adjusting hours.

Beginning on March 17, 2020, all Disney Stores in North America will be closing. ShopDisney will still be available for guests.

A exact date has not been announced for any of the locations listed above, but for the all (excluding Disney Stores), Disney has stated currently through the end of March.
