Late on Friday afternoon, the Walt Disney World Resort announced they are staying closed “until further notice” due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The rather expected announcement comes along with the Shades of Green Resort stating they are going to remain closed through the middle of May.
As of this writing, it is not yet known when Walt Disney World will reopen. There is no set date, but Shades of Green has said they are expecting to start accepting reservations for new arrivals after May 15, 2020.
All Walt Disney World Resort hotels are closed through the end of March, but an announcement regarding an extension of that is expected soon.
