Many love the books of Ridley Pearson and often wonder what it would be like to enjoy adventurous danger in the Disney Parks. Well, they may soon get their chance to experience it (somewhat) if talk of a Kingdom Keepers series coming to Disney Plus is legit.
A lot of fans have asked for the series of books to be turned into a TV franchise, but it simply has never happened.
Kevin Smith was speaking on a recent episode of the Fat Man Beyond podcast, and he started discussing The Mandalorian with co-host Marc Bernardin. As the conversation continued, Smith said something very interesting.
“I saw that wall in real life…when were working on the Disney, uh… When we were working on the potential Disney Plus show Kingdom Keepers. They brought me in…for like…a tech day. And they were like, ‘This wall here can duplicate any background.'”
Smith didn’t go into further detail on the series, but it was an interesting bit of news. We must all remember that he did say “potential” and Disney has said nothing regarding a Kingdom Keepers series at all as of yet.
We can only hope!
For those who aren’t aware, Kingdom Keepers follows five teenage kids who are set to be guides for the Disney Parks. Suddenly, they end up being in a constant battle against the Disney Villains who are looking to take their power outside of the parks and into the real world.

Once word of this started spreading, Kevin Smith had to say something more in regard to the possible Kingdom Keepers series, and it isn’t the greatest of news.
“That was a blast to write 2 years ago. It was planned as one of the first shows to launch on what would become
. Then a new exec was put in charge of the app and he killed KK. Said we used too much
IP in one project (every character in the park comes to life).”
The @disneyplus exec may have scrapped Kingdom Keepers, but he’s also the guy who said “Let’s do @starwars & @MarvelStudios shows!” So as much as I would’ve liked to make my show, I’m much happier watching #TheMandolorian and can’t wait for #WandaVision. #FanFirstFilmmakerSecond https://t.co/XPYoG5iTAy
