Presentations detailing the reopening of theme parks in Central Florida are going to begin tomorrow, May 21, 2020. In those presentations, the theme parks must include a reopening date.

Orange County has stated that the Universal Orlando Resort will be the first of the major theme parks to give their presentation. Other parks will give their presentations on following days.
A representative of SeaWorld stated in today’s meeting with Vice President Mike Pence that they hope to have their parks open by “late June.”
9 smaller local attractions have been given the green light to reopen as soon as this weekend. That includes GatorLand and other small theme parks/attractions.

It has now been confirmed that the major theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and SeaWorld can pitch their presentations tomorrow. These reopening presentations will be presented to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force.
Upon presenting them to the Task Force, the plans must be signed off on by Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings. From there, they will be submitted to Governor Ron DeSantis for final approval.
Lauren Seabrook of WFTV has also confirmed that these presentations must include reopening dates. That means we should know “very soon” when Walt Disney World and other major theme parks intend on swinging those gates open wide again.
