Walt Disney World Will Reportedly Not Use Virtual Queues Or Single Rider Upon Reopening

Walt Disney World is reopening its theme parks in mid-July after a nearly four-month closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. Upon reopening, the parks will reportedly not utilize virtual queues or single rider lines.

Yes, that includes for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

It had already been said that single rider lines would not be in place upon the reopening of the parks. Even if they were, only four attractions around Walt Disney World utilized them anyway.

We certainly know that FastPass+ reservations will not exist until further notice.

Now, there is a report that virtual queues are not going to be utilized whatsoever upon the parks reopening. That includes for Rise of the Resistance which had used nothing but virtual queues since its opening back in December.

Please note that Disney has not said this information publicly, and therefore, it is simply “reported” and not confirmed. It is possible that this won’t happen at all or it could end up being accurate.

UPDATE – Editor’s Note: I can confirm that this is 100% accurate. As of this time, Disney is not going to be using virtual queues or single rider lines. The additional queue space will be used to manage capacity and maintain physical distancing.
