As EPCOT reopened on Wednesday, July 15, many guests entered with huge smiles on their faces. Upon hitting up one of the featured attractions, though, a little bit of sadness rolled in at the lack of the practically perfect Mary Poppins.
UPDATE
A Disney spokesperson has issued a statement and said, “The decision was made to postpone development of the Mary Poppins-themed attraction and Spaceship Earth at this time.”

At the EPCOT Experience, guests can see changes and new things coming to the park in the future. Before the park closures in March, there were a couple of additional attractions to be found in it, but they are now missing.
There is a loop video that plays in the EPCOT Experience to show the changes coming, but the Mary Poppins attraction segment is gone. It no longer appears in the video as something happening in the United Kingdom pavilion in the future.
Along with that change, the upcoming major refurbishment and overhaul of Spaceship Earth is also no longer featured. Set to begin in late May, the changes to Spaceship Earth were definitely delayed.
While Disney has not yet said that both of these projects are officially canceled, it is interesting to see them no longer featured.
