The four theme parks of Walt Disney World are going to have reduced operating hours beginning next month.
Since the parks reopened in mid-July, hours have already been limited. With the reduced capacity and Disney Park Pass System in place, those hours are going to be knocked down even more as fall begins to roll in.
The park hours calendar on the My Disney Experience website are being updated and guests have started noticing the changes for their park days on their “My Plans” page. These hours are posted in place at least through October.
Beginning September 8, 2020, the new park hours will be:
Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (Down from 8:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.)
Magic Kingdom: 9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. (Down from 9:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.)
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 10:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. (Down from 10:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M.)
EPCOT: 11:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. (Down from 11:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.)
Now, two parks are opening at the same time, and two parks will close at 7:00 P.M.
This is not overly shocking as Walt Disney World typically reduces operating hours once the fall months begin. With the Disney Park Pass System in place, reduced capacity, and no Halloween Parties, this was kind of expected.
Park hours are always subject to change. Guests should continue to check My Disney Experience for the latest schedule.
