Closed before the park closures in March of last year, the TTA is now expected to remain closed at least through April 3, 2021. During its last update, it had been extended to the end of February but things are still not ready.

There is no word on just what is being done to the PeopleMover, but it is obviously very extensive. Testing has been done for the last couple of months, but it appears as if more work is necessary.

Hopefully, the early April date will be when the PeopleMover reopens, but that remains to be seen.

Before the temporary closures, the Peoplemover had some closures here and there. Since the parks reopened in mid-July, the popular attraction has remained closed and it will be that way for quite a while longer.

The official website of Walt Disney World now lists the Peoplemover as “closed for refurbishment.” As of now, the attraction is scheduled to be closed through October 31, 2020, with a tentative reopening date of November 1, 2020.

That date is not set in stone, but it does look as if the Peoplemover will be closed at least through October.

It is known that a great deal of work is being done to the classic attraction. New tracks are being laid throughout the entire ride, and there is more being done during the downtime as well.

Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
