As the evening continues, the news only continues to get progressively more depressing. More news of reported layoffs at Walt Disney World now includes equity Cast Members at multiple attractions and locati
First, it was news of the Citizens of Hollywood and cast of Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Then, it was the entire cast and crew of Festival of The Lion King and Finding Nemo – The Musical.
Sadly, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue was next, and now, many more are gone. Social media reports from different Cast Members now state that the cast and crew for the following areas and entertainment have also been let go:
- Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular
- Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
- Green Army Men brigade
- Jedi Training Academy
- Main Street Citizens
- Dancers of Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire
- Singers of Move It! Shake It! Mousekedance It!
A number of Cast Members have taken to social media to say they’ve received their official emails. No official word has come from the company as of yet.
Many others have stated that their final day with the company will be December 31, 2020.
Anything is possible to change and we do not know if this is the end of these shows, entertainment, or attractions. They could return in the future with new cast and crew, but all that remains to be seen.
