Back in mid-July, Disney’s Animal Kingdom reopened along with the majority of the attractions in the park. Rafiki’s Planet Watch was one of those, but the Affection Section has remained closed.
It now appears as if that is about to change.
According to the official Walt Disney World website, the Affection Section will reopen on Sunday, November 15, 2020. The site does have hours of 9:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. beginning on Sunday and running through January 20, 2021.
That doesn’t mean it will close again on that date, but it’s simply as far out as the calendar goes.
It’s not yet known how the Affection Section will be changed due to COVID-19 measures and new health guidelines.
Come say moo to our domesticated goats, sheep, donkeys, cows and pigs at this expansive, outdoor animal enclosure. You can even pet and brush them!
Please note that hours and attraction availability is always subject to change. While the website can say one thing, this year proves that anything could change in a moment’s notice.
