A live-action TV series about the world of “Harry Potter” is now in early development for streaming service HBO Max.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a live-action TV series is in very early development. Executives at WarnerMedia have had discussions with potential writers regarding various ideas to bring a series to life on HBO Max.
As of this time, there is nothing really known regarding the plot, timeline, or anything for the series. “Broad ideas” for it have apparently been discussed, and the meetings are still in the very early stages.
No cast members, writers, or anyone else is currently attached to the project. Representatives for WarnerMedia and HBO Max have confirmed that at present time, “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.”
If talks continue and they find interested parties, more could come from this in the future.
