Restrictions and guidelines have brought a halt to nighttime shows and fireworks at Walt Disney World, but one has now returned. On select nights, the “Tree Of Life Awakenings” projection show will take place on evenings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
This past week, Awakenings took place a couple of times and it was a very unexpected surprise. It is not listed on the event schedule for Animal Kingdom, and if you caught it…you caught it.
With park hours being limited and Animal Kingdom not staying open into the evenings much since parks reopened in July, Awakenings hasn’t been possible. As the Spring Break season arrives and Daylight Savings Time is on the way, we will see the park staying open a bit later at times.
If Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a closing time of 8:00 P.M. or later, guests can expect to see “Tree of Life Awakenings.” If it is going to happen, guests can begin watching for it to start around 6:45 P.M.
The magnificent icon will be lit up as evening approaches, and every 10-ish minutes, it will come to life.
