The theme parks of the Disneyland Resort are scheduled to reopen in “late April” under the California theme park guidelines. When they do reopen, though, guests will not have the ability to use MaxPass, FastPass, Extra Magic Hours, and Magic Mornings.
We don’t yet have an exact reopening date for the parks at DLR, but CEO Bob Chapek did say it will happen late next month. As has been the case at Walt Disney World, experiences will be modified and some operations will be temporarily suspended.
Along with face coverings and social distancing still in place, Disneyland has revealed that some services will not be available.
As a result of the impact of COVID-19 on operations, FastPass and Disney MaxPass services are suspended for the time being and are not available for purchase or use. We will share future updates at a later date.
Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hour offerings will be suspended upon reopening of our hotels and theme parks as we plan to manage capacity. We will share any updates on these offerings at a later date.
At this time, we do not have any additional details to share about the reopening of the Disneyland Resort. We look forward to providing updates as they become available.
Since reopening in July of last year, Walt Disney World has not had FastPass+, Extra Magic Hours, or Early Morning Magic events. Disney has stated that WDW will have “Early Theme Park Entry” taking the place of Extra Morning Magic at some point this year.
