After multiple rumors and completely false information, some real frightening news is finally coming forward. Disney is now in discussions with Justin Simien to direct a brand new movie focused on the Haunted Mansion.
There is next to nothing known about the new film, but it is not expected to be connected to the previous version in any fashion.
The Haunted Mansion released in 2003 starred Eddie Murphy, and it has become a bit of a cult classic over the years. It was more of a comedy than anything else, and this new film from Simien is likely going to have a more serious tone.
While we await news on casting, plot, production start dates, and a release date; it is incredible to know that the iconic Haunted Mansion will hit the big screen again.
