Universal Orlando Resort Removing Temperature Checks, Shortening Social Distancing By Half

The Orange County Health Department has recently deemed temperature checks as an unnecessary waste of resources for businesses. Now, the Universal Orlando Resort is planning on doing away with them and also cutting social distancing measures in half.

As of May 6, 2021, all temperature checks will be removed from the parking garages and resort hotels of the Universal Orlando Resort. Guests will no longer have to wait in those lines to enter the areas they wish to visit.

Also, Universal Orlando is cutting the social/physical distancing amount in half from six feet to three feet. This also falls in line with a plan from Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings which allows theme parks to make this change.
