Universal Orlando Resort Drops Mask Mandate For All Guests Outdoors Beginning On Saturday

A little over one week ago, Universal Orlando Resort dropped temperature checks and reduced social distancing by half. As of Saturday, May 15, 2021, they will also no longer have a mask mandate for guests when they are outdoors.

On Friday afternoon, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced that masks were no longer required outdoors in the county. As soon as that news was revealed, Universal Orlando Resort jumped at the opportunity to take him up on it.

As of May 15, guests will not need to wear a mask outdoors anywhere on Universal Orlando Resort property. Everyone is required to wear a face-covering while at indoor locations, indoor hotel public areas, and at all attractions. “Face coverings are required at all attractions – from the moment the queue begins until the exit of the experience.”

This is for both those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine and those who are not vaccinated.
