Come the new year, an old-school favorite will be going away forever. Shrek 4-D has now been confirmed to permanently close in January of 2022.
On January 10, 2022, Shrek 4-D and Shrek’s Ye Olde Souvenir Shoppe will close for good in Universal Studios Florida. There has been nothing further said as to why it is closing or what experiences will replace the two locations.
Fans can be happy, though, that not everything related to the lovable ogre is leaving.
The “Meet Shrek and Donkey” experience/meet-and-greet will continue operating. Guests will still be able to meet two of their favorite characters when visiting the Universal Orlando Resort.
