We’ve all been waiting for the next mission into space, but this one isn’t being made by a toy. Pixar has now released the first trailer and a new poster for Lightyear which tells the story of the “real” man behind the action figure.
This spinoff from the Toy Story franchise focuses on Buzz Lightyear, but not in toy form. It has been known since Disney Investor Day last year that Buzz was a toy created with the knowledge that he was based on something bigger, according to Pete Docter – CEO of Pixar.
With this version of Buzz Lightyear, fans will not hear the voice of Tim Allen, as he is the toy. This new character will be voiced by none other than Chris Evans
Lightyear will hit theaters on June 17, 2022, and you can check out the incredible-looking trailer below.
